Moxifloxacin is fourth-generation fluoroquinolone, having broad-spectrum antibiotic activity & more effective than ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin in keratitis.
The bactericidal activity by the inhibition of DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV.
Effectively inhibits Staph aureus in early & late phase infection which is major pathogen in bacterial Keratitis.
